5 Acre Field Hunt, buttons, knives , Do-dads and silver

Got a new permission from a local business that had an empty 5 acres field (pasture) next to them. Wasn't too sure if I would find anything worth while but there was an old farm house next to field and thought maybe that property belong to the farmers at one time long ago.. and my guess was correct, it was an old field.
Seemed that anything 2-6 inches was junk, anything 8 inches and deeper were goodies..

    Found some buckles

I have no idea what these are, the smaller one is convex, thought maybe it was a pewter/lead button but not sure, as the larger one, I'm not even going to try to guess, it the size of a silver dollar, seems to be pewter/lead.

And finally a couple silver goodies, 1907 Barber dime and what I thought was a silver bead, but after testing, found out its not.. junk jewelry.

Very nice hunt! Lots of horse buckles and even cast buckle covers which im pretty sure are the earliest ones, around the 1860s. Very nice crotal too! The rest is just icing on the cake

Excellent assortment and variety! Definitely head back, especially since you know to focus on only deeper targets now. The buckles up top are probably late 1800s/early 1900s gaging the similarity to the ones I've found. As for a guess on the large round whatsit, I'd say it's either 1) a pewter/lead bottle seal, or 2) a bridle rosette. Many older rosettes were made from those metals and may make the most sense given all the other horsetack you found there. Congrats!
