So I have a question on the EQUINOX 800...
EQUINOX 800 USD $899
6 Frequency Options (5kHz, 10kHz, 15kHz, 20kHz, 40kHz, Multi)
The 800 has 5 selectable single frequencies. Is the Multi option using all 5 Frequencies? OR Can you choose what frequencies you want to use 2 to 5? OR is it preset to specific frequencies?
I am very interested in the (5kHZ, 10kHz, 15kHz) combination. This is what the Spectra V3 should have been from the beginning. (Would have avoided all the coil issues.) This, in my opinion, would be the perfect range for older American coins.
Anyone hear of the Processor (CPU) speed this detector uses? It must be much faster than any previous detectors. The price is right on these machines!
Very exciting to have an affordable detector like this on the market. I currently own an E-Trac which has been the best functional detector I have used to date. The Whites Spectra V3 is still my favorite because of the programability, and the crazy depth capabilities, but it just does not hold up to the E-Trac in performance in finding coins in the trash, which is where they are hiding these days. I am ready to jump on this Minelab EQUINOX 800 Detector though! Which means I will have an E-Trac for sale in the $400 range.
