    been hitting an old field with the ETrac, and been digging up some old stuff

    That field is giving up some goodies. What is that blue stone in the right horse shoe?
    Oldest find: 5,000 year old copper spearhead
    Oldest coin: 1699 William III halfpenny
    Purdiest coin: 1832 Capped Bust quarter
    Coolest find: USA button with blue threads still on shank

    That shoe buckle is an old one and I love the rosettes !

    Nice buckle. I see the plain frame as #1 in the Georgian catalogue. Not much can be determined from the plain ones, just they were used throughout the 18th century. 1720-1790. Grats.
    Future goals: Capped bust coin, Flowing hair LC, Classic head LC, VT copper, MA copper, Pistareen, Two-cent pc, SLQ, GW inaugural button, Excelsior button, Civil war token, and a gold ring.
