Welcome Mike! Yes, I'm pretty sure about half the members here are from the Wi/Ill area. Competition is pretty stiff in the Racine area, especially the beach which gets cleaned spotless daily so I imagine it's tough in Kenosha as well. But on the bright side there's a lot of history in the region and plenty of folks who are happy to have a hunting buddy.
    Equipment:
Minelab: CTX 3030, GPX 4800, X-Terra 705. Whites TDI SL.

    2023 Silver: 1 Gold: 0

Best finds: 28 silver dime spill, 1800s Dutch customs seal.
Oldest/best coins: 1837 Upper Canada large cent, 1877 Seated Dime
Oldest find: 1800 Sailors Luck token

Now that's the right way to introduce yourself! Welcome to the forum and yes, it seems all the Illinois boys and Wisconsin boys end up detecting together eventually. I fully expect we'll meet in person some day. There is lots of amazing insight and knowledge on this forum so don't be afraid to ask any questions! We love seeing pics of your finds too. Best wishes and HH, Dave.

Ah come on Lee! You said you were glad we came up there because otherwise those old coins and relics would never get found!
