    It's been a while

I haven't been on in a while, but wanted to share a couple of finds my dad and I have made lately. The first is his, the second is mine. I think both are pretty amazing!

    Cheers!

Not clad, that's a 40% silver half! Also, I just noticed the maker's mark inside. It looks like DOTSON 1966?

Ah yes, forgot about the reduced silver mintage. Any info on the maker of the piece? Could be some lost artists piece maybe?

Thanks for the replies! The half is stamped with "(c) Alvin Hutson 1966." It looks like he made quite a few of these as they can be found on Ebay, Etsy, etc. Definitely not an everyday find though!

    No kidding Drew!

Those push up coins are cool! A few years ago while hunting with Mike, (Silverstar), he found a pushup Barber dime silver ring! That was cool too! But this big coin has much more detail. Very cool!
But not as cool as a Peace dollar!!
Other than a gold coin, a silver dollar is one still on the MOST WANTED list.
    Congrats to ya both!

Really good to see a post from ya Z!
