Found a 1909 VDB Wheat Cent Today

I was going through this years wheat cents looking for any Key Dates that I may have dug and found a 1909 VDB.
I figured if it's too frozen to detect, this would be the next best thing to do.LOL

Nice find, I have been doing the same thing going through Wheaties and cleaning them but no gems. Did buy a dime lot today at an auction for $350 and pulled a 1904 s Barber dime and counted a total of 465 silver dimes. That would of been a nice cache to find. You sure there is no "S" under the gate??. WD

Great find, I've yet to see a VDB cent though i hsve found quite a few 1909s. Yesterday i was going through my ring finds and cleaned up a few of the junkers, and to retest a few questionsbles. One did verify as 14k, and another one that was crusty black and unstamped turned out to be silver. Just goes to show you sometimes need to revisit those old finds just to make sure.

Nice pull! 90% of my wheaties this year are just toasted, managed a few 1909 but the backs are roached. I usually take the winter and go through my finds including my scrap pale just to make sure I didn’t miss anything once and awhile I locate a keeper congrats looks like it will clean up nice.
