What puzzles me about the machine is why didn't Minelab name one of the modes, "Relic?" It doesn't make sense to me. Do you use "Park mode" for relics?Beach mode?

I agree Drew. The hype has been intense. I have to laugh at the nasty arguments people are getting into on some of the other forums over the Equinox and it hasn't even been released yet ! Time will tell if it is the second coming, the real deal, or just another flash in the pan. It does sound promising, but we shall see.

I read on the Minelab site somewhere that they are trying to fulfill all orders and ship them across February which gives me hope I will see mine by early March.
The manual is available too. I downloaded and read it yesterday...I am confident this new machine will be a very good one.
