    Wow! I'd say it's real but I don't know anything else about it.

    That looks like a "Forehand & Wadsworth" revolver. They were made in 32 and 38 caliber. Here's a link to some history on them:

    Either could be correct.Could the lettering be the same on the handgrip for both? I think I see F&W but your gun is a closer match then what I saw.

    Have you cleaned it up yet? There should be some markings on the barrel. Is it hammerless?
