    Gold Machine?

I know there are machines best for gold nuggets, but are there any machines designed to find it in parks? Is there a perfect machine that would let you ID gold like a good detector lets you ID coins, minimizing tabs and trash digs?

The short answer is, no. There are machines that are more sensitive to gold and/or small gold, but there is no machine that can specifically find gold.

The problem is that there are so many sizes and alloys of gold. Gold will register from the tiniest foil, all the way up to the penny range.

Until someone discovers a reliable way to to ID every metal type, we are still bound to dig a lot of trash.
