    Oldest spanish silver

I got an invite from a great young man from one of the detecting clubs I belong to , through short conversation realized we both had the day off so he asked if I wanted to hunt one of his latest productive cellar hole sites . David and I hiked through some rigorous terrain to come to a swollen creek and just on the other side was a nice site but very overgrown with vegetation this time of year , I did manage to squeak out a few coins from the cleared spots .

Hope I get another chance to detect this place in the fall when all the green is knocked down from the cold .

Big congrats Dan! You are the king of sniffing out those older coins from cellars. I know you recently said you've found something like 17 Fugios over the years - which still amazes me. What's the Reale count?

John, he'll be modest as usual and under report his totals. The unofficial count I've been keeping in my head for Dan is 259 Fugios, 187 reales and 6,784 complete shoe buckles.

Make that 188 reales now. Nice hunt Dan.

    Yeah, that sounds about right.

Killer find in some tough conditions Dan!
    Congrats!

With all the KG coppers you East coasters find, I'm surprised that some of the KG silvers coins don't pop up from time to time.

WTG Dan. Someone who hunts and discovers relics like you do, I would think that getting anything as the "oldest" is a milestone. Congrats
