    Wow, you did really good! Love the script C button. Any discernible back mark? Great Hibernia (half penny?) too. Those escutcheon plates are nice and decorative. All in all a great bunch of keepers. Thanks for sharing and happy hunting, Dave.

    Absolutely gorgeous button. I spent 10 of my 24 years of metal detecting on Civil War sites and never found a Confederate button. I had guys digging them all around me and never got my coil over one. It's funny how things work out.

    Thanks! Heres one pull up to a new site dig a good one in the first 5 holes. Then dig another 100 holes and find nothing. Explain that to me....lol

    Thanks! The last three or four confederate buttons before the C button were toasted. It was a welcome sight to see a good come out of the ground..

    No problem CD. I love buttons. I dug Civil War sites for 10 years and never found a Confederate Button. I found Union buttons and a New York Militia button but never a Confederate. Maybe one day me and Danny (Del) could come down and you put us on a spot where we could find one.
