    November finds...

Here are my November finds. I did not get out nearly as much as I would have liked but its hunting season and my family loves venison. Half of these finds came on a couple hunts at a honey hole in my hometown in Ohio.

Not too many silvers this month but I did get past the 80 mark so I am happy to do that. The silver thing is an earring that has the post straight instead of in a loop.

For those of you guys who hunt you might like this story...My two boys and I hunted our farm in Ohio last week and on opening day my youngest son shot 2 does, I shot a nice 8pt buck and my oldest shot his first buck...10pt buck!

FYI these 4 deer will last my family about 6 months. Nothing goes to waste.

Its starting to get cold again...so depressing! Hope winter will not be too harsh.

    Thanks for looking - Jared

Not bad Jared--you really hit the war nickels this month! Is that a WW1 collar brass? I've never seen one that was still silvered! How about a pic of the back. I'm guessing a big ole screw-back attachment.

It is still dirty so that is not silver wash. And yes it's brass with the screw back post. War niks have been ridiculous for me this year...25 I think!

WOW!! I think I've only dug 3 or 4 war nickels ever. That crossed cannon artillery pin is sooo cool! Are there two connecting pins in the back?

It netted 144 and had about 5 inches of deductions. So you have a good eye!

Very solid Jared! Always love seeing V Nics posted on the forum. Believe it or not, I collect them, but have never dug one! It's probably because I hunt really old sites, but you'd think one would've found my coil by now. Kinda a head scratcher.

Always cool to find nickels instead of pull tabs and tin foil wads! Congrats. Someday I'm going to set my V3i up and just nickel hunt.
