    Stumped

    Found this the other day. 3 1/4" long and made of brass. It's cracked and bent in, has a hole in the top but not the bottom??????

    I agree with Tony. Either a carriage lamp finial or a corner finial (where the luggage bars went around the top of the carriage)

    Thanks guys. Your suggestions make sense because there is some fancy going around the widest part of the bulb, which I couldn't figure out why. So being part of a carriage lamp or a corner finial like DD suggested then it makes sense.
