    Help identify a military button

Hi everyone, sorry I haven`t been on here much last year. I`ve been dealing with a lot of family issues. I did get out for a little while yesterday and dug this small anchor button. I don't see any markings on the back. Any ideas on it`s age? Thanks

I think it might be an early 1800s British Navy button.
My wife does all the driving, I just hold the steering wheel!

Might be from the 1780s or a little later. Check this link: http://www.colchestertreasurehunting...%20buttons.htm
