    First Silver of the New Year!

    First silver of the new year, and first silver off of one of my new field sites!


    A 1894 S Barber half dollar!! Woo hoo!!

    I think my eyes are playing tricks on me. When I look at your pic of that coin in the dirt it is an "1884" but the bust is obviously a barber so my mind is having issues! Just glad you showed us a cleaned up pic!

    I didn't even notice that! But your right! Even when you zoom waaay in, it still looks like a 1884!

    I also thought it was a 1884. Nice find Tim and here's something weird. I have gotten only 2 Barber 1/2's and they are both 1894S.
