    Newbie from Oregon

Hello Colleagues. Today was my first try at Detecting. I just bought a new Garrett Ace 400. I am still trying to learn how to set up my detector and waiting for some more accessories. I look forward to learning and enjoying this sport and get some exercise at the same time.

Welcome to the forum! We're glad you joined us. Best of luck wit your new Ace 400 and I hope the weather stays nice enough for you to do some detecting. We are currently suffering through a "polar vortex" here in Illinois with extremely cold temperatures expected. I can't wait for spring!

Keep us posted on your progress!
