    Old Copper ????

    Found this today at my favorite copper field.

    I put the dime in for size reference. I have taken pictures of both sides plus rotating 180 degrees.

    Looks very old, copper and I can make out some letters.

    They are (maybe) ART and D2.

    Really need some help here.

    Hey Al, I think you might have an old French Liard ! Rotate the bottom pic bottom to top and compare it below.

    Oldest find: 5,000 year old copper spearhead

    Thanks everybody. This is my second Liard but I'm pretty sure that I will not be getting a date off of this one. I think my other one was a 1657.
