What does the bottom look like? Is it hollow or solid? Does it look like the top would come off? Any markings on it?

Looks like a miniature drum.

Is the piece hollow? Could it be a bell or a bell clapper? Or could it be part of a wind chime?

Hollow but full of dirt, having a tough time getting it out
