Had to share the first find with my new XP Deus!

Who said there's a learning curve? First hole in the most iron infested part of my yard with an 11" coil! The Deus sniffed it out clear as day about six inches down. There's more iron in that little patch of my yard than in the Titanic!Name: 67257300_10214422358496384_5143553289232580608_n.jpg

That is a fine example of that type of relic! Even with the 11" coil you will get really good target separation. I expect you will have some fun revisiting your old sites. You will be saying to yourself : " Boy that sounds just like a copper, but there is NO way that can be a copper." Dig the hole and retrieve your copper.
Oldest find: 5,000 year old copper spearhead

Purdiest coin: 1832 Capped Bust quarter

That person must have been thirsty. Didn't even bend the beavertail into the ring part. Would have sounded like a better nickel signal that way....
Congrats on that awesome find. That might be a first on this forum!

I really can't wait to hit some of those old sites with the Deus just to see if there is anything in the iron patches. I purchased the HF Elliptical coil for it and have three custom programs in it now. I have CT Todd's program which is a killer program. I put Calabash Digger's Pitch Program in it. I made up my own "CT Todd Lite" program for heavy iron patches but it's probably not needed and I was just getting practice on changing settings and saving programs.

Give it time and it will serve you well for what you do...… 9INCH HF coil or the eliptical you got running 28 kh for the hammered cellar holes will find the goods left by other detectorist
Best finds GW Button and John Adams Cufflink.

Must be at least 40 years old. By some states' goofy laws that qualifies as old enough for treasure sir!
