    Complete Shoe Buckle

    Hi Hunters,
I think this is a late 18th century woman's or child's shoe buckle? The pocket watch has 3 o'clock on top .
The copper is completely smooth. Thanks!

Congrats on the complete shoe buckle, Drew! Complete ones don't seem to turn up too often. The pocket watch is cool too. Do you think it was made that way, or has the face been rotated?

I think it's been rotated, Tony..but just guessing. I was hoping to find some writing on it, but nothing.

The funny thing about the buckle is that the day before I found it I gave two complete ones to my historical society. I was secretly doubting whether I wanted to give 'em up but then the good karma. I await finding the next one .

Actually Tony, you're right about the rarity, I found about ten complete ones. Dan probably finds ten a year . Thank you for the kind comments!
Upon further review I guess it was made that way...1899 btw

Sweet!!! All the YouTube videos I watch and I don't think I have ever seen someone pull a complete buckle out of the ground. That is so cool. Just think that someone was wearing that 200 years ago or more. I love this hobby!!

That's a good one Drew. T2 find? I drove right through your town yesterday afternoon on the way back from PA to avoid the mess on I-84.

    Thanks, everyone!
You know, Jeff...I said I was going to dust off the T2 but one last comparison through my test garden dissuaded me.
    You should have stopped by!

From everything I have read and seen Drew, the NOX is an excellent all around detector. Probably not too many scenarios where the T2 would out perform it. I kept meaning to use my DFX once for old times sake after I got the Deus...but I just could never bring myself to leave the better tool at home.

I would have given you a buzz but had a work colleague with me.
