Hi all:

Two years ago I found a "gold ring" with a single diamond and it was fake gold and CZ. Yesterday while hunting my half dime area at a local school, I had a very strange signal. I retrieved a square nail (I found that interesting) and a pull tab about 6" down and double checking the plug, found this ring.

All I see when pulling the dirt away is a gold band. Heart starts to pump!!! I pluck and see the "diamond". Look to the inside of the ring for markings and the first thing I see is "China". Darn. Silver lining "pun intended" is that it is stamped 925. Weird...... Found another aluminum/copper kids' ring and about $2.00 in Clad.
