    canway metal detetor

    does anyone else have one of these...it picks up crap real good but hardly recognises gold ...anyone? d+I

    I never heard of it so I googled it. Looks like one of those cheap detectors that is perfect for finding something you just dropped (e.g. wedding ring or car keys) but completely useless for anything that's been buried for awhile.

    I agree with Dave.
    For $99 you can get a usable Minelab unit (Go Find 11).
    For $150 there are a myriad of choices with loads of features that will go down 5 inches or so.
    For $200 you can can get Minelab multi-frequency!!! At least you can pre-order it.
    But go with the Camway if you only have $50...and don't plan on getting anymore money.
