A couple good finds from today

    Hi Diggers,
I went out to a site that saw a few battles in the 1600's and 1700's between the French and the Army of the Holy Roman Empire. I found about 20 large caliber musket balls and two large fragments of exploding cannonballs. I also found a few high-tone keepers (below). My best find though was a beautiful French military button (with bird cage shank). Without a doubt my best military button I've found. Thanks for looking and happy digging!

Excellent finds Dave! And you're right - that button cleaned up remarkably well. Congrats!
