Great Roman find! Curious as to what resource you guys turn to ID those old roman coins. Is there an authoritative book?

I missed this post...amazing coins! I retire in a year, and my first trip will be to your neck of the woods. I can't wait to find something in the place "with history" as Eddie Izzard says.

hi fire fighter, it is exciting as with the history of england you just never know what you may find. on our last dig one of the guys found a gold celtic stater. i live in boston lincolnshire, where the pilgrim fathers were jailed before they sailed to america and there is loads of medieval history and we find mainly hammered coins but not to much roman stuff
