    Just Checking in

Sorry I haven't been posting anything lately, but I Have been pretty much just working and staying the house.
Last Sunday I got out for first time in about two months. I dug a nice 1888 Indian. Man that felt good.

I hope everyone out there is staying safe and healthy!!
    Take care, Don

Holy cow, Don...that's one unreal Indian.
Why do you think there is one tiny worn spot on both the obverse (4:30) and reverse (1:30)? What would cause that? That has the best of both worlds, wonderful detail and the patina of being buried 130 years.

I really don't know. it's strange that the C & A are almost worn off, but the rim is fine.

Beautiful Indian Head, Don! That is an early drop, very little wear and nice green patina!

I would guess that the missing letters are due a mint error instead of wear, possibly a "filled die error".

    Congrats on the wonderful find!
