1746 KGII my best looking Copper yet

Yesterday went back to my new permission, and next to the well I found this 1746 KGII and it is by far my best copper yet, as far as detail goes.

Just 20 feet from this coin I found a 1786-88 NJ copper and it was total waste. It's amazing how 1 coin can come out so bad and another come out so good even when in the same area.

That KGII cleaned up beautifully, Scott! Wow, what a gorgeous coin! 274 years old, amazing!

It's crazy that the nearby New Jersey copper came out looking like it did. At least it's clearly identifiable.

    Congrats on the great finds!

That's an awesome KGII. I don't have a KGII that looks that good yet but I did find a cast counterfeit 1746. Who knows? Maybe the casting was made from your coin?!

Nice Georgie. Most NJ coppers seem to be really toasty. Not often you get a good one.
Oldest find: 5,000 year old copper spearhead
Oldest coin: 1699 William III halfpenny
Purdiest coin: 1832 Capped Bust quarter
Coolest find: USA button with blue threads still on shank
