Hunting with Digger Al, Noah & Tony Two-Cent

I had a nice couple of days hunting in some very comfortable weather.

Saturday, Noah and I got out for a few hours detecting in a new town. i managed my first Indian of the year, an 1891 , a 47 Rosie and 16 wheat cents.

Sunday, Digger Al and I met up with Tony for a great day of detecting. I started out a bit slow, but ended up very happy with my finds for the day!

I think my favorite find of the day was GAR button ( Grand Army of the Republic) I'm not sure of it's age, but I would guess turn of the century.
    I also dug a Sterling ring, a 1900 Barber dime, a 1926 SLQ, a religious pendent , a flower broach? and 11 wheats.

Alec dug a very old Flat button. I think i need to clean it a bit more, can't quite make out the writing yet. Also a little heart pendent and an 1893 Barber dime.
Together we dug 31 Wheats for the 2 days!

You both had some nice finds! I agree with everyone else, your GAR button was the best find. It's in great shape too! That's a very cool piece of history. You found some good coins too, including an SLQ with a legible date. NICE! The sterling ring is nothing to sneeze at either.

Alec did well too, with a scarce date 1893-S Barber Dime and a super old flat button. I bet the padlock charm is very old as well.

    Good job, both of you!
