Old Tavern and community center hunt.

This hunt was at a wood parcel that once had a tavern/ community center on it. There was also an open field with a ball diamond. The ball field are is now part pond, long swampy grass gravel drive and corn field. I mainly concentrated on the woods and didn’t hit the ball field ares yet. I got a nice dated SLQ (1929) which has eluded my the last couple of years.

Man, I sure do love Standing Liberty Quarters! Just think, 1929 was on the cusp of the great depression and people couldn't afford to lose 25 cents back then. Great find, Jeff!

I love the colors on that 1890 Indian Head too!

    Lifetime totals:
9 Large Cents, 415 Indian Heads, 2 Two Cent Pieces, 1 Capped Bust Half Dime, 1 Seated Half Dime, 10 Shield Nickels, 68 V Nickels, 124 Buffalo Nickels, 31 War Nickels, 16 Seated Dimes, 131 Barber Dimes, 405 Mercury Dimes, 249 Rosies, 4 Seated Quarters, 18 Barber Quarters, 19 Standing Liberty Quarters, 89 Silver Washingtons, 1 Seated Half, 3 Barber Halves, 16 Walking Liberty Halves

Great hunt Jeff! Hard to believe, but I've never dug an SLQ. Sure, I hit only very old sites, but you'd at least think my coil would've come across one by now. Congrats all the same!
