    Got the monkey off my shoulder early

    I always figure that I will hit at least one Reale each year. Last year I didn’t get it done until December. It was a close call. This year I’m way ahead of schedule with this 1 Reale. It’s the nicest shape Reale I’ve ever been lucky enough to fine.
    Very pleased to have it. Get out there.

    It is in wonderful condition and as others have noted it bears the Madrid mint mark.

    Congrats on your yearly One Real find! I am averaging one every 35 years.

    Great find! Looks like it was a very early drop too. I only recently found my first Spanish. It is a quarter cut 2 Reale that I found on my trip to the UK. That gives me an average of one every 11 years! My hat is off to your skill and luck! Happy digging, Dave.
