Sure enough, I see mention of it in the Sweet Home news, article dated March 25th.

I have owned several White's detectors in my 24 years of detecting. I used an XLT my first 15 years. In a technology hobby if you don't bring out new tech you lose market share.

That's the tough part in the industry now. It appears they have hit the wall as far as current technology can go. Only thing to come out in recent years from anyone has just been more bells and whistles, a bit of refinement, and different packaging as a sales pitch.
So unless someone makes a big breakthrough, it's going to be the same thing in the future.

Technology over all has certainly gotten better in the last 10 to 15 years but so has coil configuration , Whites could of gone in any number of directions but has always ignored good honest constructive criticism by its consumers , field teams and even some of its engineers . Their competitors have really stepped up their game and to be honest i'm saddened to see Whites go
