    Big O mint mark!

Here are a few things I found over the last few weeks including a quick trip back up to my cottage where I found a few more buttons.

Some round balls found near my cottage...

Ah what I never can get enough of...big silver! Found it at a beat up park about 6 inches from the street. It was an obvious signal and I had hopes it was silver when I first swung over it.

Wow, beautiful Barber Half! What a thrill it must have been when you saw that in the dirt!

And you found some more incredible buttons! Holy cow, you must have an amazing button collection by now.

I wonder what in the world that solid copper ball was for?

That big silver is a looker ! I'm thinking you could rent your cottage (along with the detecting rights) by the week and get top dollar. The copper ball might be part of an old check valve??
Oldest find: 5,000 year old copper spearhead
Oldest coin: 1699 William III halfpenny
Purdiest coin: 1832 Capped Bust quarter
Coolest find: USA button with blue threads still on shank

To be clear I found the musket balls and buttons at my cottage. Everything else was at a couple different parks. That copper ball looks like it was lathed into shape. A part to a check valve could be right. It is the same diameter as the half dollar.
