    Copper Culture

    After over eleven years of detecting and countless hours in woods and fields where these are probable to find, I finally found my first copper culture artifact in a woods that I have permission to MD in. I am pretty thrilled to have found this one!

    Oldest silver: 1853 Half-dime & 1876S Seated Quarter / Oldest coin: 1849 US Large Cent / 1854 Upper Canada One Penny Bank Token

    Wow! Darren, I had to look up what the heck it is. I guess you're located right in the center of the copper culture! Congrats on a bucket lister and rare, super old find!!

    Awesome! Very cool find for sure.
    Oldest find: 5,000 year old copper spearhead
    Oldest coin: 1699 William III halfpenny
    Purdiest coin: 1832 Capped Bust quarter
    Coolest find: USA button with blue threads still on shank

    We certainly do have Native American artifacts in WI. That is an awesome find!!!
