Epic Hunt at the 1833 Cabin Site / Bucket Lister

Noah, Alec and I went back to the 1833 cabin site yesterday. Between the three of us we dug 30 more buttons, two of which were militia buttons.
We dug a few relics and I dug my first US half cent, an 1829. Wow!!

    Here are a "few" pictures.

It's a farm field. Last week we had 12" stalks everywhere. This weekend it was freshly turned.

When Don texted me a photo of his Half Cent the first thing I replied was "Dave has found one too, but not me!"

That is a spectacular find, Don! The color of it is wonderful! Crazy that a coin that nice was in a farm field. You know there is more in that field! It is very fortunate that the farmer disked up the stubble to make it easier to detect.

Is everything you find there something old or is there some modern junk too?

    Congrats on the amazing finds!
