    I forgot to mention the Celtic iron fibula I found!

    I dug this beautiful Celtic fibula on the first day of my Bavarian trip. This is the second one I have found and dates to 3rd century B.C.

    Oldest U.S. coin: 1805 Draped Bust Large Cent
    Best Coins EVER: 1625 4 Sols from Kingdom of Chateau Renaud, France
    1662 15 Kreuzers, Leopold I, Austria
    Best Relics: Bronze Age Arrowheads & Spearhead, 2c Roman silver ring, complete medieval knight's spur (x6)

    I don't know what is more remarkable.....that very cool find or as Drew mentioned, your ability to forget about it. I wonder how they wound that iron into a coil?

    Seriously, that is a monumental find, Dave! I know how excited TerraGermania gets when he finds a fibula. They are such personal and historic items. Your own personal museum is shaping up nicely!
