    Old miner's piece

Just deciding to show a pretty cool thing I found awhile ago.

A couple of months ago I went to my favorite metal detecting spot for late 19th/early 20th century coins and found a piece of a miner's head lamp instead. The place I was detecting at had an old train station that used to be there, all that's left of it is cement foundation and the layout of an old railroad indented in the ground. I found out about the place when my old neighbor told me about how there was a station up the road of my house that people could take a ride on only for a nickel.

For more information the area I was digging at was about a mile or so off from an old mine pit.

That day was a pretty nice day in my opinion.

Interested to see what you guys think about it.
