Another good day with the Nox

2nd weekend with the NOX was another great outing. The depth has been incredible and the separation has made a big difference in the two parks I hunted. The Barber quarter was all of 10" and I found a crusty wheatie and 1940 nickel that were not much behind that. Ended up with an 05 "O" Barber quarter, 1901 Barber dime 3 Mercs, a 1898 V nickel, a '07 Indian and 4 crusty wheats. That makes 11 silver with the NOX on 2 hunts. Wisconsin Digger

The NOX has definitely brightened my outlook on the rest of the season. It has great depth and I am pretty sure at least 7 of those silver I walked over a couple of tomes with the Etrac. At some point I'll take both along too compare. Thx Wisconsin Digger

Beautiful Barber Quarter! and an O mint. Well done! Glad you are enjoying your Nox! Be prepared to find lots of nickels too if you dig all the 12 and 13's you come across. Yeah 11 silvers in two hunts at places I assume you have already hit with your eTrac is impressive!

I don't think I've ever dug a coin at 10 inches. I like my Etrac but haven't been super impressed with the depth. Congrats on your finds!

Very well done! You must have the nox dialed in! It nails deep silver...have you tried 5kHz? The 4kHz is too crazy for me.

I have the 600 so only have the 4 options. I run in Multi most of the time and just pop back and forth to see how the others sound. It is amazing in junk areas but I guess that was the whole point of this technology. I went out yesterday for a couple of hours and found 2 rosies and 7 wheats in a small area I have hunted many times with the Etrac. WD

Maybe you didn't get the update yet? The subsequent updates added 4kHz on both the 600 and 800.
