    VDI Gold Bands

Everyone says gold VDIs nickel-low... but why do gold wedding bands ring up up much higher? I only found two, and both ring up a bit higher than zincolns.
I understand the "coin" shape helps up-average but that much?

I don't know why, but small gold rings I've dug were all nickel numbers. Larger rings with more weight and carrot have all been 12-30 or better on the E Trac, like a zinc penny.

The gold rings mass and purity affects the VDI , Drew . assuming that we use the same total weight of the ring but alter its purity (10k 14k 18k) its VDI will go from higher to lower in that same order. I've dug some fat 10k bands that vdi'd in the realm of indian heads . white gold because its mixed with silver will read a bit higher than rose gold which is mixed with copper .
