    Etrac factory coil

Do coils ever go bad? I had trouble with my machine just a few weekends ago when the coil just simply quit working. But when I got home it started working again. I donít understand why. Iím starting to lose faith in it and wondering if I need to replace it.

Although Don could have "fixed" it, it may have gone bad. Mine did and I sent it into Minelab and they replaced it for free and sent it back to me right away. I am sure I was still under warranty.

Yeah they go bad. It might be cracked somewhere and getting moisture in it. Or the cable might be going bad too.

My old White's XLT coil went bad after 15 years. I just had a Deus coil go bad after three months.
