    I just heard about 3 Cent Nickels...anyone ever find one?

    I know Ill Digger has found one. They are a rare find because they ring up so low like a piece of aluminum foil.

    Never found one but a few friends have and they said they ring nice and high on the deus

    Yes, many years ago at a coin shop.

    I read they started during the CW because people were hoarding silver. We'd dig 'em at cellar holes as we dig anything that beeps. It would be weird though as whatever its VDI it would lock in to a specific number, it wouldn't jump around like shotgun shells.

    I think Noah (Tim) found one while detecting with Digger Don. That is the only one I have seen on here. The only way I might find one is if it laying next to a seated dime or another coin.
