    A Bit of Everything

I hit a public cellar hole before the snow came last week, working my 5x10 coil. You have to go snail slow with the Nox...I've heard its the same with the eTrac.

    Chinese Cash Coin
    1966 Dog tag
1956 Tractor Reg Tag (like my 4th one lately, at different sites!)
British Military Lion and Unicorn Button (second from this site)
Part of a #3 Crotal, and another crotal part from a super large one(on right).
    Silver Quarter
Horse buckle with a brass pin and maybe a small lock attached(?)
    Hem-weight
    Ox Knob (For Jeff)

    Thanks!

    Are the buttons backmarked?

Nice bunch of digs there Drew. That would have been a monster crotal. Can't say I ever found horse tack with a lock on it. ALWAYS nice to see an ox knob.
Oldest find: 5,000 year old copper spearhead
Oldest coin: 1699 William III halfpenny
Purdiest coin: 1832 Capped Bust quarter
Coolest find: USA button with blue threads still on shank

Thanks, Jeff! No, fyrffytr1..no backmark but I'd guess that type of shank is early 20th century, no?

    Thanks Ice!
I guess that coin is 1736 to 1800 Yuwan. Makes sense, looks the part, but I just quickly scanned the chinese coin dating site.
Turned out with a bit of detail.

Drew if you tumbled that coin for about an hour or two you'd probably see a lot more of the characters better .

i have a simple harbor freight tumbler add some non colored aquarium gravel with a dab of dish soap and you would be surprised at what you see .

Thanks, I'll try it! ...and that was three outings, Dan. I'd say 5hrs. I know that's like a 1/3 of an outing for you

Thanks to Dan for suggestion a tumbler...not only did the Chinese coin come out better but the date on a CT copper became apparent, as well as I found I had another 1600's WilliamIII...and that was just like 20 coins for 2 hrs!
    Thanks!
