    Slow Start / Fantastic Ending

Tim and headed west to hit a town that was established in 1843. Lots of old houses so our hopes were high.
We hunted there most of the day. My haul from that town was 2 Rosies. Ouch!

On the way home, we came upon a beautiful 1870s house. Tim went up and got us the permission and was told by the owner that the yard has never been detected, so once again we had high hopes. Tim wasn't on the lawn more than 5 minutes and already dug 3 Indians. I dug a 1912 Taft Watch Fob. it came out in 3 pieces.

A bit later I see Tim pulling out another Indian. I'm starting to get a little discouraged, I cant find Indian for the life of me. Finally I get a 12-34 at about 8 inches. I get down to it and to my surprise, it was an 1856-O Half Dime. OK, my day was just made!!! In the next half hour or so, I dug a copper wedding band, a flat button and a 42-S merc. Oh yeah, and an 1893 Indian. It turned out to be a great day!!

Slows starts, denied permissions, hunted-out yards, finds like an 1856 Half Dime make it all worth it!

This is why we do what we do, to experience the thrill of a find like this.

Would have been an epic video but I didn't feel like going back to the car for the phone.
