    How about part of an old shovel blade? The spikey part would have gone into the wooden shaft and the scoop part would have been welded to the flat part ???

    Does the wife approve of you decorating the tree with relic ornaments this year Drew ?

    It does look to be something like Jeff mentioned small spade or hand tool that separated from the main handle .

    First impression is it's an old tire iron, for changing out those slim tires from the 20's era.
