Thread: Stuart Crystal Cufflinks?

    Stuart Crystal Cufflinks?

Could these be that old...like from the 1600s? I found those, a pole cap, cuff button, and a shotgun shell, then after 45min my coil was going to run out of juice.

That would be too cool Drew. Here's a TNET post with a similar find.

Thanks, Jeff! I wonder how he dated his to be "mid 18th century?"
Also, I guess the term "Stuart" may not necessarily mean the English dynasty.

    Stuart Crystal Jewellery (jmaggs.com)

the only thing I can add to this article is that Stuart crystal jewelry did continue into the 1700's as "mourning jewelry" maybe as far as 1800 but if that were true it would be more commonly found . I have never found any Stuart crystal jewelry and every piece that has turned up around me has been at those much earlier sites from late 1600's to very early 1700's .

Ohh, there's nothing under the glass in mine. So I guess it's just Georgian era junk. I'll recycle it. Kidding!
Makes me think of years ago when most sites had coppers, we used to joke about throwing Matrons into the stone walls as they weren't old enough.
    Thanks, Dan!
