    Old Ax

Found this ax last weekend with Frank. Was thinking it was a trade ax but apparently, it's an old camp ax.

Soaked in vinegar, then White vinegar and finally molasses.
Scrubbed it with a brass wire brush as well as using my Dremel steel wire brush.

Gave it a nice coat of renwax and buffed it up. I've got some oak poles in the basement and will make a handle for it.

Thanks, and to think I was going to leave it at the site, but Frank grabbed it & when we got back to his house, he handed it to me.

    He's a great friend!!
