    Year so far

    Hi everyone,

Been very busy over the last year with work, but still getting out detecting. Sorry I haven't been on as much recently, but to all that post, great finds everyone!! Below is my year so far. Doing pretty good on silver and over 100 Jefferson nickels with only 1 Buffalo. Only 1 IHP this year. The ring below is the metal detecting gods talking to me. Last quarter in the silver coin photo is a Barber from a 1940s farm site. it was in the gravel that was under blacktop. I think the blacktop melted the coin a bit, but I can still see it is a Barber. 2 Barber dimes in the same day last weekend at a place I have hunted previously. I just tell myself to slow down and it is working.

Buddy of mine got a Peace dollar this year (he just caught the rim of it and brought us over for the extraction). Other buddy and I were calling silver dollar. Such an awesome find, so happy for him. My other buddy got an 1844 1/2 Montreal Half Penny token last weekend too. Great weekend of hunting at "hunted out places". Good luck out there and I will try posting more often when I find anything worthy.

That is about double of what I've found this year. A lot of quarters that is always a good sign as they seem to be less and less each year. Great recoveries and thx for posting. WD
