    Dawson Blank

I found this blank stock in a warehouse in Dawson, Georgia a good while back. It is a blank stock for the Dickson, Nelson & Co. rifle made in the Dawson Armory from around 1864 until the end of the war. The Dickson Nelson Co. moved several times during the war ending up in Dawson which is about 25 miles from where I live. I know of one other blank because I owned it for a few years. I traded some old pottery to a man for it with the agreement that if either one of us ever wanted to trade back we would, no questions asked. He decided he wanted to donate the blank to the local museum but, I don't know if he did before he passed away.

Mi blank is for the carbine but there is little info on it. This was the first information I found on the web.
