I know it is half of a two piece buckle, but nothing else. Any help would be great. Jeff

This the proper tongue for this wreath, there should be the number 33 stamped on the buckle. It is circa 1845-55 Navy Officer pattern, but is most often found in California gold camps. Great find!
Great find and congrats!

Wow! Sweet find. Such intricate design for the period. A little jealousy here. Congrats.
