Testing silver

I just posted this on the General section but thought I'd put it here also. When you dig an item that you think might be silver - put a small drop of Silver Black on it and if it won't wash off it's silver. Bottle doesn't cost much - probably find one at a large jewelery store. steve in so az

Cool I'll have to check that out as some of the older finds are not marked and may in fact be silver.
