AT Pro at the gun club location --2

Took the AT Pro to the old gun club location( now a public park) for about 3 hours. The gun club had shooting matches and picnics from the 1880's until the early or mid 1940's. I had dug some lead rifle bullets and a couple of old rifle casings from this section of the park grounds in the past.

Went to the section where I dug up the bullets, the last time I was there and gridded off a few sections of ground. I was determined to get more bullets and hopefully dig a coin or 2.

After digging a couple lead bullets I got a double signal from next to a tree. A high tone and mid tone was sounding off--no triple tone--low-high-low, just a high and mid tone.
I dug and at about 4 inches got a rusty bottlecap. Rechecked the hole and only a high tone --a quarter on the VDI-was sounding off at 6 inches.
See 1st picture. and 2nd picture.

    A very worn, 1877 Seated quarter !!!!!!!!!!!!
After searching close by I went on the other side of the tree------ I got a dime signal at 4 inches.
    See 3rd and 4th pictures.

A 1905 Barber dime came out of the hole...I did the silver dance. TWICE !!!!!!!!!!

My other finds for the day----a VERY GOOD day.

Man that seated quarter looks like it was in circulation forever. You can barely see any detail there, but it is what it is. Nice finds!

Excellent! They are beautiful coins even when worn. That Seated quarter has certainly seen plenty of hands.

....Great score Robbie.....Awesome coins.... ..I amazes me what people are pullin' out of the ground with that AT PRO, even after they had been to some of those spots before.... thumbsup01
