Member "Lee" told me about it.....Twice. The first time I could not understand his accent. Still don't know if it was because he is from England or if it is because I am from Alabama.

Been a member of another forum for several years. Periodicaly I looked at other forums to see what is going on with other folks. I kept coming back to AD as the conversations seemed open and interesting. Decided to add my two cents to AD and see how things progress.

So far so good... I have not been censored for benign verbage...

Signed up on the Friendly Metal Detecting forums back in late May when I got my Ace 350. Within a couple weeks I got a PM from someone named copper head telling me there were a pile of guys in CT and the general area. Very glad I got that PM.

You guys are way too nice. Must be something in the soil.

...if it still matters (seeing posts still being made) I belived it was google although it wasn't on the first or second or third attempts on searching. I know a ways back I was searching local lost treasure stories and coming up with TreasureNet and whatever the other one is. Somehow I used google, most likely on places to hunt, and came up with this site for the home page, maybe between google search pages 3 and 5. Never joined any other MD site, however I have been on other sites with the same ID

    I found it using Google.
I am just getting started and joined some other forums - some better than the others.
I am looking for a forum with information and no drama in a format I can use.
    So far, so good.

    Thanks,
